A South African daily newspaper will for the second day not publish a print edition because of the ongoing violence and looting.
Thursday’s edition of The Witness newspaper will be circulated online after the newspaper suspended printing on Wednesday.
The newspaper said that it was halting printing
“until further notice”.
It is published in Pietermaritzburg and widely read in KwaZulu-Natal province – former President Jacob Zuma’s home turf – that has been affected by the violence.
The Witness on its website linked an online edition saying it was sharing it “as a service to the province”.
